Every toy on JJ Toys Review is judged on the same short list of criteria, so scores can be compared across guides. Last updated October 2026.
Our 1–10 editorial score
Scores are our own editorial opinion on a 1–10 scale. They are not Amazon star ratings and we do not reproduce retailer ratings or review counts.
What we weigh
| Criterion | What we look at |
|---|---|
| Safety & age fit | Age grading, small parts, materials, battery and charging safety, manufacturer recalls. |
| Play value | How long it holds attention, open-ended play, replay and expandability. |
| Build quality | Materials, durability, how well it survives rough play. |
| Ease of use | Setup, instructions, assembly effort, parent involvement needed. |
| Value | Price against comparable toys and what is included. |
